The Puddle
The other day I had the bright idea to make a blog (why not, everyone else has one) about my summer. Namely because my 2.5 year old comes up with new and hilarious things to say and do daily and I don’t want to forget a single one. Additionally, I’m at home all summer and need to carry on adult conversation sometime in the day, even if it is with a keyboard. So here it is.
You might ask yourself, “What is ‘The Puddle” and to that I’d say, have you ever potty trained a little boy? The Puddle is the ominous leak we left in the isle at Target today, never mind the fact that we had peed before leaving the house. He gets that he should tell me; he just doesn’t get that he should tell me with enough forewarning to get to a toilet.
The other major event of the morning was going to Art in the Park where some guy was wondering around in a Spiderman outfit that made Bridge bust into tears and refuse to walk anywhere where he could still see Spiderman, making for a difficult time getting around the petting zoo and out to the parking lot. Though I’ll take that over the entire shelf of raisins he overturned in Walmart earlier this week. No quips of wisdom as of yet today, but I’ll leave you with a few gems he’s created lately and you’ll see why these need to be recorded for posterity….
Cheese stops the thunder.
Apple juice comes from pretzels.
Look, I made a duck (in reference to the shape of his latest poo)
Loves it!! Hooray! You’re a blogger!
Don’t forget, Aunt Shannon likes toys. Aunt Shannon likes dominoes and money.
